Terms

Version 3. In effect from 21 October 2026.

On this page

tidy notebook is operated by Bhushan Prakash Khanale, a sole proprietor in India. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean this operator. Our public contact address is Pune, Maharashtra, India. You can write to support@tidynotebook.com.

These terms apply to tidy notebook cloud at app.tidynotebook.com. They form our agreement with you for the service. Read the privacy notice, refund policy and Fair Use Policy with these terms. The service asks you to accept the Terms and Privacy notice. These terms do not apply when you run the self-hosted software on your own server.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into this agreement.
  • One account is for one person. Use your own email address.
  • Keep your password secret. Tell us if someone uses your account without your permission.
  • You are responsible for your use of the service and the content you save or publish.

Plans and payment

Standard is for one person, with 10 GB of storage. It costs USD $5 each month or USD $50 each year, before tax. The pricing page gives the features. The Fair Use Policy gives the operational limits, including a separate limit for text and history and shared service limits. There is no free hosted plan and no trial.

Paddle is the merchant of record and reseller. You buy the subscription from Paddle. Paddle takes payment, calculates and collects applicable tax, and issues your invoice. Its buyer terms apply to that purchase. We supply and support the software service.

The subscription renews each month or each year until you cancel it. Paddle charges the payment method you provide at the start of each billing period. You can manage billing and cancel through the Paddle customer portal linked from billing.tidynotebook.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. You keep access until then. Cancellation alone does not give a refund. Read the refund policy for refunds.

We will give reasonable advance notice before a price change applies to an existing subscription. You can cancel before the change takes effect. We will also give reasonable advance notice of a material reduction in your plan limits, unless an urgent legal or security need prevents this.

Access and account removal

A new account starts locked. It opens after the payment is confirmed and the subscription is applied. A locked account can sign in, export its notes, pay for a subscription, and remove itself. It cannot save a change on the server.

When no subscription covers a new account, we remove it 30 days after you make it. When a payment fails, Paddle can retry it and cancel the subscription if payment is not made.

When the subscription ends, the account is locked. Changes on your device can sync after access returns. Published links close while the account is locked. We remove a locked account and its notes 90 days after its subscription ended. We send a warning 30 days and 7 days before removal. If the account gets a subscription before removal, the removal stops.

Your notes are yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and send your content to supply the service. This includes sync, search, history and links you choose to publish. This permission ends when the content is removed, except for copies in backups until those backups expire and records we must keep by law. The Privacy notice explains retention.

A published link lets anyone with the address read the content it shows. You are responsible for what you publish. A reader can report a published page. We can remove access to a link that breaks these terms. The application shows when a link was taken down.

Keep a separate copy of important notes. Select Export all notes in Settings to download them. Download and shared service limits can pause an export. See the Fair Use Policy and contact support for help.

Prohibited use

Do not use the service to:

  • store or publish illegal content or content that infringes another person's rights
  • collect passwords, payment details or personal data by deception
  • store or distribute harmful files
  • threaten or harass a person, or send spam
  • gain access to an account or system without permission
  • attack the service or make it slow or unavailable for others
  • avoid a service limit, including by using extra accounts

Service changes and account action

We can change the service. We try to keep it available, but do not promise continuous access or a service free of faults.

You can remove your account in Settings. This removes the active notes and starts the removal of stored files. Backup copies expire separately. We can disable an account that breaks these terms. Before we remove it, we will normally give you notice and reasonable time to export your notes. We can act at once when the law or the safety of others requires it.

Liability and consumer rights

As far as the law permits, we supply the service as it is and exclude liability for indirect loss and lost data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that the law does not let us exclude. Mandatory rights in your country of residence continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, their version changes. The application asks you to accept the new Terms or Privacy version before normal access continues. You can instead export your notes and remove your account.

Law and complaints

The law of India governs this agreement. Courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right to use another court or consumer forum. This does not remove the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.

Write to our grievance contact, the operator named above, at support@tidynotebook.com. In India, you can also contact the National Consumer Helpline and the appropriate District, State or National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act. You do not have to give up a legal complaint route to contact us.
